Farm Market is Back!: Newsletter May 3, 2022
Our Farm Market is back! Since we moved the bakery to our detached garage on Thomas Jefferson Road a few years ago we have operated a mini farm-store in the front half of the building during the busy season. We’ve recently made some improvements, including a beautiful new sign, and we are expanding hours in hopes that we can find more convenient and consistent times for you to stop by for bread and veggies. Starting this week we will be open WED-FRI from 3-5 pm with a selection of our seasonal offerings. Our harvest lists are long, our planting fingers are numb and we are ready to get down to business! With the first CSA share being divvied out this Wednesday, our farm store opening Wed-Fri and our plant sale Sunday, our dockets are as full as our greenhouses. No matter what the day, there is opportunity for you to get your hands on our fresh produce and bread. Come out and see us! |

![]() For instance, did you know we don’t use ANY artificial pesticides at Great Day Gardens? That’s right, no need to worry over nasty chemicals spoiling that perfectly sliced tomato. Instead we try to encourage natural remedies for such occurrences like letting Lady Bugs lay. Did you know Lady Bugs are worth more than their looks? They are predators to small insects that feed off our food such as aphids and leave our produce alone. That is why we are thankful for our Lady Bugs at the farm. |
