Are you guys the ones with the greenhouses you can see from the road? Yes! We have four greenhouses on our property. These greenhouses allow us to grow vegetables in a protected environment. For instance we were able to begin growing our slicing tomatoes in January! Greenhouses are great for other reasons too. They can help deter pests, concentrate light and protect plants from inclement weather.

Bread Share: Onion Cheddar
Caramelized onions (homegrown), raw organic cheddar from grass-fed cows, jalapenos, and local sunflower oil.This loaf comes sliced. Excellent for eggy-on-bready breakfast and toasts up very crisp thanks to the sunflower oil.
Ingredients: Wheat flour, water, cheddar, onions, sunflower oil, sourdough starter, salt, malted barley.

Our new store hours will be from 3-6pm on Wednesdays only! We are excited for this new spot and hope it will be more convenient for our customers (and with easier parking). Look for our tent and make sure you stop by to get your locally grown produce midweek!We will also be closed for midweek orders next week! We are taking our yearly summer break next week while the farmers get a little R&R. Though we will not have midweek orders available on August 3, you can still find us at the Lynchburg Community Market every weekend without fail!
|Recipe of the Week: Fried Green Beans
1 lb green beans
½ cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
2 cups vegetable oil
Heat oil in a saucepan on low heatMix dry ingredients in a bowlIn a separate bowl whisk the eggsWash green beans, cut ends and then cut in half.When oil reaches 360 degrees, dip a few green beans in the egg mixture before coating them in flour. Place green beans carefully in hot oil. Fry for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown. Take beans from oil and place on paper towels for excess oil. Repeat with a few more beans. Do not overcrowd the bowls or oil to allow even coating and cooking
