Don’t be fooled by the fancy name! Pain au Levain is simply French for “sourdough bread” and is our most popular style. Tearing off the hearty crust reveals a pillowy, open crumb. Simply whole and sifted flour, sourdough, and salt.
The XL is twice the size of the regular Pain au Levain and also comes unsliced. It is great for sandwiches and toast, or heat it up and serve with a dipping oil for dinner. Good for a large family, or put half in the freezer!
