Description
OSSI variety. (C. moschata) Ready to harvest in 100 days. A recently developed Downy Mildew resistant butternut, crafted through a 2011 cross between Seminole Pumpkin and Waltham Butternut. Outstanding DM resistance, productivity, and keeping quality, coupled with a rich, sweet flavor. Immature fruits exhibit a predominantly dark green color. While they may take more time to transition into a fully tan hue, rest assured that they are ripe when this transformation occurs. South Anna is a reliable choice to circumvent crop failure in early DM seasons and offers superior, higher-quality yields in years with average DM pressure. Suitable for late planting, facilitating later harvests that store well into the winter and spring.
