|Dry Season Dry-Goods Sale|
It’s hard to remember a September that felt more like fall, we are very grateful for the cool, dry conditions over the past few weeks! This has been great for curing crops like winter squash and corn, as well as killing some late summer weeds that have been so persistent since June (sigh of relief).
To celebrate the start of Fall, we are having a sale on all of our dry goods we carry from Deep Roots Milling and (new last week!) Little Hat Creek Farm.
Save 20% on Rosemary Crackers, Cornmeal, Oatmeal and more this week only. All made with 100% grains grown right here in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
|Our two varieties of open-pollinated landrace field corn, curing with the help of the recent dry winds. On the left is “Kentucky Rainbow,” which Michael has grown since 2015. On the right is “Cateto Sulino,” an heirloom Brazilian flint corn ideal for baked polenta dishes. Be on the lookout for homegrown corn products in the not-too-distant future!|
